Welcome to the McNally

This is one of the many views we are blessed with from the family ranch in Ovando, MT located in the Blackfoot Valley. The McNally Ranch was Homesteaded in the 1880's by Henry Clinton McNally. Henry relocated from Canada and decided to settle in this beautiful valley.

Monte is a 5th generation McNally, and is the only child of Donald and Barbara McNally. We, along with our two children, Aiden and Emma, work long-side his parents in a cow/calf operation on half of the original family ranch. Aiden and Emma make 6 generations of McNally's on the ranch.

Our goal for our operation is to graze the land with our livestock in a way that makes the ground more productive, which in turn benefits all. One of those main benefits is being able to produce healthy, Montana bred and raised grass fed beef for sale or slaughter.

To achieve these goals means more hands on time and more leg work. We spend more time amongst the cattle to make sure all of the cows and calves are growing well and staying healthy. We also spend more time moving cattle from pasture to pasture to make sure that each piece grazed properly.

This lifestyle we have chosen is hard, at times; but it is also very rewarding when you see what you can accomplish with a little hard work. Having the opportunity to teach our children the importance of work ethic, and seeing things through to the end is invaluable.
